Hi I'm Harley

I grew up in California, I'm about to serve a mission, I am a Mormon

About Me

Hi my name is Harley, I'm 19 years old and am a missionay for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints serving in the Bangkok Thailand mission. I graduated in 2012 from high school and have been working to save for my mission. Fitness is a huge part of my life; I have been studying martial arts throughout my life on and off, I study MMA now and go to the gym pretty regularly throughout the week.I have two younger brothers the youngest is ten and has Downs Syndrome. My father is a convert to the church and was baptized the same day as me. My mom left the church her Junior year of High school and came back when my younger brother was born. It took my father 7 years of missionaries before he joined the church. Since the day of my baptism I have been faithful in my church service and have truly enjoyed being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints . I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ, the work of being a missionary is an AWESOME work to be called to. I love the Gospel and how it changes lives for the better

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because its what I know our Heavenly father wants me to do. He wants me to be free from all the addictions that people have to face, he wants me to be happy with my choices and to make good choices that will help me have a good future. Sure I have doubted at times like many others before me but I have always come back because I can't imagine what my life would be like without it. I know I wouldn't be the same person that I am today without it. I know that what I have been taught throughout my life is true wether I liked it at times or not, but I know that the Lord is looking out for the welfare of his people and wants the best for them like a father for his children. I know that these things are true with all my heart, I guess I have always known that the Church is true or it wouldn't have changed so many lives for the better. I know that most people have not really had the same experiences that I have, but through reading The Book of Mormon and then praying about it like I have, and countless others have, you too will know that this is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to live according to what the gospel asks of me. Right now I'm showing it by Being a missionary who is about to leave the MTC for Thailand. At times I might not have been the best at my callings when I was younger but now I always try my best to get things done when they need to get done. God asks so little of us and now I'm acting on my faith to the best of my abilities as a Son of God serving as a misionary in Thailand. That's all we need to do, live according to the gospel to the best of our abilities.
