Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in Oregon. I am an Eagle Scout, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love athletics. I played 5 different varsity sports in high school, including track, football, cross country, basketball and golf, with my favorite being basketball. I was a center for my high school varsity team. I played the drum set for my high school and junior high pep band. Right now I am preparing to serve a full time mission. I have two part time jobs that I am using to finance that mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have found greater joy in being an active member of the church than I have when I have tried anything else. I love continuing to learn about the gospel and in turn serving others. I know that the Church is true, I have received witness for myself that it is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, and receives direction from our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ to lead and guide the Church today. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that his account of the First Vision is true. I love the Gospel and I love the Savior. We are all children of our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward in many ways. I am a priest, and i get to bless the sacrament often. I also engage in a lot of community service with other priests in my ward. We do a lot to try to help others, and I am one of two eagle scouts in the group. The priests who do not yet have their eagle scout award are all working towards that goal. I go home teaching every month to try and help the families i am assigned to in any way that I can. I go to early morning seminary every morning before school, and try to help other youth understand the gospel.
