Hi I'm Dallin Hubbard

I grew in Utah, love science and my family and God. I am a Mormon

About Me

I'm a husband and father. I studying at the University of Utah for my Ph.D. in Bioengineering. I love my wife and children most, but I also love to learn and play. I enjoy singing, mountain biking, racquetball and a variety of interests. One of my favorite things is coming home to my son Micah and having him run into my arms. I served a 2 year mission for the church in Manaus, Brazil and love to continue practicing my portuguese whenever I meet someone from a portuguese speaking country. I enjoy hiking in the mountains around Utah and traveling the world. Currently I am living in Ireland for part of my Ph.D. research and continuing education.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for sure that Jesus Christ truly did die in order to save all mankind from death and sin. I know that He founded the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and directs it today through His Prophet. I came upon this knowledge through the kindness of close friends and family who taught me the gospel ever since I was a young child. This led me to read the Book of Mormon and to study Christ's teachings. I can honestly say that I know that since that point I have felt more of the God's influence in my life and greater closeness to my Heavenly Father. Because I started reading the Book of Mormon I have been led to ask questions in prayer about the meaning of life, the truthfulness of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the reality of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I have gained answers to all my questions and many more, by the feelings of the Holy Ghost. I now know that Jesus Christ really did suffer and die for me and all mankind and that I can return and live with God and my family in Heaven forever. This brings great comfort and joy to my heart and makes me want to share this knowledge with you and the rest of the world.

How I live my faith

I love to hometeach (visiting the homes of members of the church and sharing a gospel message) as well as participate in church social events. I am part of the Elder's Quorum (men's group) in the Bray branch (similar to a parish or region of the church). There I get to share my testimony about Jesus Christ and learn from my friends in close group of friends. I also love my opportunities to attend other church classes and learn about the pure doctrine of Christ. It truly does enlarge my soul and give me great comfort and happiness to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint.
