Hi I'm Jake Godfrey

Hey i'm Jake I grew up in Utah my whole life. I have my mission call to France, Paris and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to play all sports. I find that i am the most happy when i am competing or playing sports. My favorite sport to play is golf. I have spent a good part of my life on the golf course and it has helped me learn a lot of valuable life lessons. This has been a huge part of my life and i wouldn't want my childhood to be any different then it was.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up my entire life in this gospel. I have relied on Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice to help me stay active in this church. The gospel has been there for me my entire life. I would be lost in life right now if it wasn't for the light that the church gives to help keep us on the the straight and narrow path that we can follow to be able to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ one day. This gospel is true and I know that it has fully been restored to the earth since the great apostasy when the priesthood was revoked from this world to leave us in darkness. I also believe that the gospel was restored by the Lord through the Prophet Joseph Smith. He translated the Book of Mormon, which are holy scriptures that lead and guide me in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to stay active in my faith by serving in the ward. I home-teach two family's in my ward once a month. My companion and I talk to them about their needs and ask them if there is anything that we could help them out with. We also switch off turns teaching a little lesson that usually comes from the first presidency of the church. I find that message in the ensign that comes out monthly. I also try to help out when the ward or stake does service projects. This is a great time to serve other people and give back to the community.
