Hi I'm Garrett

Raised in a military family, currently serving my full time mission in Melbourne, Australia! I love to golf, wrestle, and hunt!

About Me

I'm currently serving my mission in beautiful Melbourne, Australia! Before my mission I was a high school golfer and wrestler. I attended Montana State University to play on the golf team there for a year before leaving on my mission. It was a very tough decision to leave my dream behind and serve the Lord. But, I knew that all the talents and opportunities that I have received in my life were from the Lord. And if He could give his life for me, I can easily serve him for two years as a missionary of His church! A mission for me personally is the best decision I have ever made! I never thought that helping and serving people would bring so much joy and happiness into my life. Seeing the way the Spirit changes the hearts of those I teach is a testimony builder to me that this is the Lord's work and his hand is in everything I do as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

Because this is the TRUE church of Christ. I was not always a true believer even though I grew up in the church. It wasn't until about a year and a half ago when I changed my life and decided to prepare myself to serve the lord. The blessings that come from living the way Christ wants me to daily, and the promises that he gives me if I do so is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for the Lord and his church. I act the way I know He would want me to act, even when no one is watching. I go to all my church meetings, pay tithing, read, pray, and strive every day to do better!

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Garrett
We needed a Savior for a simple reason. . We are all mortal human beings. Being mortal means we are subject to sin. As humans we naturally want to rebel, it's just in us you could say. With Jesus Christ coming down and atoning for all the sins that we all have and will commit in our Earth life, can be forgiven. This is possible because Christ has felt every pain and affliction that we will ever feel. So, it is easy for Christ to understand and forgive us, because He knows what we are going through. When we choose to follow Christ and repent of our sins, it brings us closer to Him and we can be forgiven of our sins. Show more Show less
