Hi I'm Claire Pollard

I'm an inch off 6ft tall. I love cheese and crackers with chutney. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently got married on the beautiful Hawaiin Island of Oahu. The ceremony was small but perfect. My husband and I love to travel and are always planning our next adventure. I am a step-mum to two very loving children and a sister to six siblings. I've played the cornet in a local Brass Band for 18 years and enjoy anything to do with music. Every Monday night a few of my friends and family get together to play football and even though I am the only girl playing I give the boys a run for their money!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is no greater feeling than knowing that I have a Saviour and a Father in Heaven who loves me and knows me by name. My family are the most important thing to me and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ gives me the opportunity to be with my family in this life but also after we pass from this world. I love nothing more than the feeling I get when the Holy Ghost witnesses to me the truthfulness of the gospel as I read the Book of Mormon or hear our Prophet speak. I have been a member of the church all my life and have seen the blessings that have been poured on me in abundance. I have lived to let my Saviour know that I am grateful for the sacrifice he made when he was crucified and took upon him the sins of the world - my sins. I can't wait for the day when I get to meet my Brother, my Light, my Saviour Jesus Christ and I can say ' Lord, I done my best'.

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful opportunity just now to run the nursery at church so I get to spend my Sundays having fun and teaching the children (aged 18months - 3years) the simple principles such as how to be kind, how to share and also about their Saviour Jesus Christ. In the past I have been able to work with the youth of the church, organising activities and helping them find their way through adolescence.
