Hi I'm Sophie

I was raised in New Jersey and I'm now serving a mission in Birmingham, Alabama speaking Spanish! Y SOY MORMONA!

About Me

I was raised in New Jersey by two amazing parents, and the youngest sibling to two older brothers. My father passed away when I was 15. My family then moved across the country to Utah/Idaho to live closer to our extended family. I was going to school to be a nurse when the age limit changed for sister missionaries, so I put my schooling on hold for a while and submitted my papers. I have been called to serve in the Birmingham, Alabama Mission, spanish speaking, and I am very excited.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born into the church, I did have a conversion of my own. It was never a doubt to me, growing up, that God lived, and loved us all. I always had a fond love for all the members, and leaders in the church, and I knew that I trusted and respected all of them. And I enjoyed going to church and seeing my friends. It was when my father passed away, that my testimony in the gospel was tried. It was then that I realized that, I could either rely on the Lord and have faith in HIm, or choose to be forever angry and hate God for what He took away from me. It was in that moment that I knew that believing in the Lord, and trusting Him was the only real option. And my faith has been unshaken ever since. I love this church and I would not be able to survive without it.

How I live my faith

I have had, on many occasions through the church, the opportunity to serve. I have visit taught many sisters, and had the blessing of teaching some of the children in the church. But, a lot of my best experiences in serving, were the times when I was able to sit and talk with the older adults in my community and learn from them and hear their stories and testimonies.
