Hi I'm Justin Cook

I live in Las Vegas. I love sports. I am serving a mission in the South Dakota, Rapid City Mission! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Justin Cook and I just finished my first year at BYU- Idaho! I am now leaving to serve a mission for two years in the Rapid City, South Dakota Mission!:) I love spending time with family and friends, I have so many great memories from them. I have a passion for basketball, and I am addicted to wake-boarding. I will enjoy playing any sport. I also love learning a new skill, and because of that I have acquired some random hobbies. I am now great at ping pong, the yo yo, hacky sack. Our family loves water sports and during the summer we will go to Lake Powell for a week. I love to laugh and have a good time. I love to eat a great meal, Mexican food is by far my favorite. I feel thrilled when going on road trips with friends. I love the outdoors! I finished my general courses at BYU-I. I am looking to get in the medical field, not sure yet what specifically. I also love this church and I'm thankful for loving parents who have raised me in the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon beacuse I have seen the gospel bless the lives of both my family and my friends. I have seen the power of the priesthood in my life. I know that this gospel brings happiness. I would be a different person without the gospel. This church has made me the person that I want to be. I have a strong testimony of this church and the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am an Eagle scout and I've had several callings in the church. I get to go hometeaching with my dad. I was called as an instructor in Idaho. I will be serving a full time mission.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Justin Cook
The reason that the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day-Saints have living apostles today is because of the restoration of Christ's true church. The savior did call 12 apostles during his earthly ministry and they were special witnesses of him and they were to spread the gospel through out the world after Jesus was resurrected and returned to his Father. The apostles tried to maintain the doctrine and the church when Jesus left, but sadley the people fell away from the church and rejected the apostles and killed and exiled them. When the church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth, Jesus Christ called 12 apostles, through his prophet Joeseph Smith. These apostles have the same authority as did the apostles of old and the true church of Jesus Christ is still built on a foundation of prophets and apostles. (Ephesians 4: 11-14) Show more Show less
