Hi I'm Nicole McKensie

I grew up in Utah. I love to dance and have been dancing in one way or another since I was 3. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born three months pre-mature and weighed in at less than 3lbs. The doctors didn't think I would live. But they had to take me or both my mother and I would have died. After I was born they still didn't think I would live. I was in the ICU for three months on every machine you can think of. After I was able to go home I was still on a heart monitor and oxygen for three months after that. I have been dancing since I was three. At first I hated being on stage but once I got over my stage fright I loved being in the spot light. I competed professionally in clogging for many years. It didn't matter where I was or who I was around I was dancing. I love playing the piano and enjoy anything that has to do with music. I love spending time with my family. I have two brothers and two sisters, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, two nieces and a nephew.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the true and complete gospel has been restored to the earth by a loving heavenly father through a living prophet. I'm a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true through a spiritual confirmation from the holy spirit. I am a Mormon because there is no greater peace to be had on this earth than to follow my savior Jesus Christ and the life he lead. I am a Mormon because I want to be with my family for eternity and know that through my faithfulness and diligence in keeping all of God's commandments as well as living a life of service to my fellow man and my Heavenly Father I can be with them for eternity after this mortal life has ended.

How I live my faith

I attend the Temple every week. It's a place where I find peace, comfort and guidance from the Holy Spirit under the direction of my loving savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. I have been in my Young Single Adult Stake calling for a year and a half now and I love it. Serving my peers has been a blessing in my life. I am attending Missionary Preparation classes and I will be leaving to serve my Father in Heaven and his children on a mission in Florida in a week. First I will arrive in the Missionary Training Center where I will continue church education for about two weeks before I enter the mission field. I will then fly to Florida and begin my mission work, sharing the beautiful message of this restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
