Hi I'm Travis Tyler

I grew up in Provo Utah. I love sports--both playing and watching. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and lived there my whole life up until the past year when my family moved to Hawaii, right after i graduated high school, for my dads job. in Hawaii i worked for Layton construction building the new single student dormitories as i was saving money to serve an LDS mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon my whole life. My parents always tried to teach us the principles of our faith since we were little kids. When i was about 12, I didn't really know if i believed in this church or not. I started praying that i would know whether or not everything i had been taught since i was a child was true or not. It took quite a while for me to receive an answer but one night after praying for an answer i heard a soft voice in my head saying, "Travis, why do you keep asking whether or not what you've been taught is true when you've know it to be true your whole life?" after that i thought that, i realized that i had always known but i just didn't know that i knew it. Since then, I have had many more experiences that have strengthened that testimony, and although i still have a lot to learn i know that this church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints is true and i testify of that.

How I live my faith

once a month my dad and I have the opportunity to visit a few families in our church at their homes to see how they are doing and whether we can help them with anything, and share a message from the leaders of our church to them. I enjoy this because it gives me a chance to meet people in my community that i otherwise wouldn't interact with on a regular basis and because its fulfilling when you actually are able to help them, even if its just something simple.
