Hi I'm Richard

I live in Scotland, I studied Biochemistry at St Andrews University and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Richard, I'm 20 years old and live in Scotland. I am finishing my final year at the university of St Andrews studying Biochemistry. I have an autistic brother called Euan who is awesome and a huge part of my life. My Mum and Dad are amazing too and really help me out. I play the piano and the flute, I love to Ski and I love to spend time with my friends above anything else. I have just been called to serve a mission in the Greece Athens area and start on the 25th of June. I am so excited for this and relish this opportunity to serve, help and teach the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. It's teachings, it's principles, and it's standards make my life so much better. It teaches me how to be a better person, and it also teaches me that my life has a purpose and a place to go. Jesus Christ has sacrificed so much for me, and it is because of that that I can live with my family and my friends for eternity, which is what I want beyond anything else. I'm so grateful for him and for the church and for all it does.

How I live my faith

I'm an elder in Kirkcaldy ward in Dundee stake. I'm a part of the YSA in Dundee and serve as the executive secretary. I'm also a Home Teacher where I visit and teach some members of my ward. I love spending time with members at my University as well, and always try and contribute and have activities with them. I go out with serving missionaries in my area and try to help them serve and teach people that live around me. I am about to go to Greece for two years and work full time with members of the community to help teach and serve them and share the love of Christ's gospel with as many people that want to hear it.
