Hi I'm Mo

I grew up in Spain and moved over to the UK when I was 19. I am a National Account Executive. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Spain but have lived in the UK since 2000. I am married to my lovely English wife and now have two beautiful children (1 boy and 1 girl). I started my professional career in Purchasing, working for a construction business. Eventually, and after moving jobs a few times, I became a Buyer. A few years back I decided I wanted to do something else, and decided on a career change. I now am a sales account manager for a wet wipes manufacturer in North Wales, working with top grocers and convenience stores. Most of my free time is spent with my family, but also indulge in playing and watching sports, especially football, and I passionately support R.C.D Espanyol (in Barcelona). I follow a long family tradition (grandfather and father) of supporting this not very well know team and I have been collecting their shirts for some time now. Even though I have lived in the UK since I was 19, I strongly remember my roots and keep in touch with everything happening in Spain, and more specifically, Catalonia.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before I was born, and so I grew up as a firm believer in Christ and His Church. Although my parents were a big influence in my beliefs, I decided to find out by myself who God and Christ are, and how I could follow them. The answers did not come overnight, but instead, through living the teachings of the Saviour and by small, simple promptings of the Spirit. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know that he has restored his true gospel on this Earth, and the fullness of it is only found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon because I know that through the power and authority of the Priesthood, I can live with God again forever with my family. I am a Mormon because I know God has called a modern day prophet to guide and direct us and teach us to walk in the ways of our Saviour.

How I live my faith

For the past 10 years, I have served in various callings and positions of responsibility. I am now serving as the Bishop of our ward (congregation). Although this takes a lot of my time in meetings, interviews, outings and reports, it also means I am involved in teaching, strengthening and helping those who are in spiritual, emotional or physical need and work with families and individuals to become self-reliant. I also help teach the youth to understand their personal value, the potential they have as children of our Heavenly Father and the importance of holding and living moral standards. As a Priesthood holder, I am called to be a minister, which, allows me to go with another Priesthood holder and visit families and individuals from our ward and help ensure that their needs are met and they are feeling cared for at all times.
