Hi I'm Lesli

I love reading, playing soccer, and riding horses. I am preparing to serve in the Nevada Reno Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I played soccer and rode horses in high school but then had to stop after a major back injury. The time period since has been a great season of self discovery, of finding new hobbies and talents that I can share with others, and a time of building my faith. I have found that I love to garden and plant flowers. I love to read Jane Austen books on lazy afternoons, and one of my dreams is to swim the Great Barrier Reef.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family in Utah so being baptized and becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was not new to me. My parents have always been constant examples and have encouraged me to search and find for myself whether this gospel was His gospel. Over the years I have studied the scriptures, I have attended church, and I have prayed to know whether it was true. Little by little I received confirmations of my faith. I can now say that I have a testimony that this is Christ's church and His gospel on the Earth. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was prophet of God. I have a testimony that President Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet and receives divine revelation to guide His church.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve in the Nevada Reno mission. I have been blessed by the gospel in more ways than I can ever express, and I want to share the blessings I have received with others. Though I have anxieties of leaving my family for eighteen months I know that I will not be alone, Christ will be by my side as I seek to share His gospel.
