Hi I'm Emma

I movie quote all the time, I am serving a full time mission and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am currently serving a full time mission in St George Utah, I have loved serving here and I am grateful for the Lord putting me in this mission. I will be going to university once I am back and I will study Psychology. I love make-up artistry. I love all genres of music. I love movies especially ones that have great quotes that I can use. I love hanging out with my friends and getting into mischief... the good kind... sometimes. Haha! I love people and I want to help as many people as I can. Someone once told me that I am always the first person to jump and help someone in need. I am grateful for the gift to be able to be quick to observe and then serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church as my parents are both members of the church. I relied on my parent's testimony a lot when I was a kid. They raised me in the church and taught me basic gospel principles from a very young age. Whilst in my later teenage years I leaned away from my parents testimony (in other words I rebelled) and struggled with the desire to live what I always knew was the truth. I made enough bad choices during that time to know that I wasn't happy and my parents gave me an out when they helped me realize that the Lord wanted me to serve a mission. The process back was long and hard but I made it and know I know for myself that the church and all its appendages are true. Through my mission I developed the habit of personal prayer and scripture study from which I gained and strengthened my own knowledge, understanding and faith in the gospel. I have realized that I want to be as charitable as I can and give back to all because of what I have been given.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking it one day at a time, whilst doing so I realize that I am one day closer to returning to live with my Heavenly Father. I try to continue a habit of read my scriptures and praying daily. I take the sacrament every week to renew my covenants with Heavenly Father so I can overcome my weaknesses. I understand that I am NOT perfect and therefore make mistakes and this is something that I try to work on. However I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can have strength to overcome my weakness and I can receive forgiveness and move on with my life. Precept upon precept.
