Hi I'm Melanie M.

I love music, the smell of fresh air, and familia!! Being Mormon is awesome. :)

About Me

Yep, I'm totally from Utah :) and it's great. I'm serving a mission in Kentucky and will return home in October of 2014. I will then continue my education in college! I love endorfins. My face turns bright red when I laugh. Someday i'll learn how to cook, and I hope to give vegetarianism another shot. Rain is an exciting time in life. I like to play dress-ups. Getting letters in the mail is the best ever! and I'm obsessed with my family. They're too cool.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the happiness it brings to my life. Not just because of the unity and joy it brings to my family life, but to me personally. It gives me purpose. I view trials in my life in a positive light. I feel the love that my Savior has for me, and for everyone! I can't imagine my life without it, and it's the best news in all the world that I could have ever imagined! Almost too good to be true, but so true that it's hard to deny once you've had that spiritual confirmation to your heart. I've had so many answers to my prayers, sometimes in different ways than I originally hoped for, but all in rewarding ways. I've noticed that sometimes the hardest things that I go through will be the most beneficial, as long as I am striving to become more like Christ. He loves each of us individually. I know that.

How I live my faith

Something I have been learning lately is how to look at others through God's eyes. Not that I ever could feel the amount of love for them that He does, but in that small way I get to appreciate them for who they are in a way that I otherwise wouldn't have. He sees the potential that we have, and understands when we fall short. We have a long way to go, but we don't have to travel alone! I can't describe my happiness that families can be together for eternity. This is something the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ has taught me, and it has brought so much peace and joy. I get to share that message with people as I serve an 18 month mission in Kentucky!
