Hi I'm Michael.

Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Michael, and I grew up in Western Montana. There are so many great things to do here, from hiking to biking, skiing to fishing, and pretty much everything else. I went to a small high school, which allowed me to get to know all 45 of my classmates very well. After graduating, I worked several months at a sandwich shop, before completing a year of school at Brigham Young University-Idaho (though I haven't found a major yet). At the moment, I am about to leave on my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the church for generations, and until I was in my mid-teens I never gave my faith a second thought. When challenges came up in my life, I needed to know what I believed. I like to think that I am now a convert to the church, although I was born into a member family. I now know what I believe, and believe it with all my heart. We have a loving Heavenly Father, who knows each of us personally. We have a Savior, who died to save all of us from our sins. With the power of Christ's atonement, we can overcome our own shortcomings and prepare for a greater existence after this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in serving others. If there is any way I can be involved in a ward-organized service project, I will be there. When my old scout troop does yard work to raise money for camps, I will be there. In serving other people I humble myself. The Savior is the greatest example of service, and He did miraculous things for no reason other than His love for those He served.

What is being a Mormon like?

Michael.
It has been said that the Lord's people are a "peculiar people". Peculiar can be interpreted as chosen, or even as separated. I know that people who are members stand out in their fields. There is a certain quality about being a member, because you know the truthfulness of the gospel and you want to share it. That's why we go on missions, so that we can all live with Heavenly Father again. Show more Show less
