Hi I'm Elder Adam Garceau

I was raised in the gospel of Christ in Utah. I'm a Musician. I'm a soldier in the US Army. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my favorite things to do include: Trumpet playing, singing, hiking, climbing, shooting, and getting together with good friends. I Highly enjoy playing the Trumpet and any brass instrument I can get my hands on. I love the Army and hope to have a long career. I am serving a mission for two years in the Montana Billings Mission. To me, physical fitness and being healthy is a top priority. I love to run for a long time. My favorite exercise to do is push ups. If you asked me what my favorite food is, I would have to say all of it. I love to try out new foods. One of the best ways to get me to relax is to take me out to a firing range. shooting is fun and very relaxing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. Now some may say, "He doesn't really believe what his religion says, he was just born into it and therefore never questioned it." EVERYONE has their questions. I asked myself if I believe these things at an early age. It has always been my dream to be a missionary and serve God. I want everyone to feel the same good feelings I do about the gospel. But before you can teach something, you have to make sure you really understand it. You have to know that you believe exactly what you are saying. How much harder is it to teach something you don't actually believe? At that same early age I had to ask myself some questions. I got the clear and distinct answer that these things are true. My grandfather is the reason my family is in the church today. He was working for the military and was on a series of flights to get back home. He was attending the Lutheran faith at the time, but he liked to read different religious books. Every airport he went to, he would go to the book store and buy a new book. By the time he got to his next stop, he finished reading and would go look for another book. One airport in particular, he went to the book store and saw right in front of the door was a table. on the table was a stack of books. It had a sign next to a box that read,"Put a dollar in the box and take a book from the table." He was intrigued by the books on the table. Why would someone just put a box their not knowing whether someone would actually pay for the books? Whoever put those books there was not concerned about making a profit, but something more. He took the book and began reading(531 pages of condensed text) on his last plane ride. This book was called, "The Book of Mormon." He felt such a good feeling about this book. Inside the book was contact information for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He contacted the church and soon missionaries came to his house to teach the family and they were baptized.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be the person God needs me to be. Whenever I see someone who needs help with anything, I try to be there. I want to live a life of service knowing I did something good for someone else. I try to help my friends understand my faith so they can find out more about themselves. I enjoy giving good advice to those who seem lost. I believe that if I am a good example to those around me, I can become a valuable disciple of Christ.
