Hi I'm Shea

I'm a swimmer and a professional rockstar when it comes to shower singing. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Well, I'm 19, and I'm hearing impaired, have been since age 4. I've never let it stop me, however, and I strive to accomplish anything I set my mind to. Some people I've known for awhile have just barely discovered my "disability". I'm not much different than anyone else. I was a swimmer in high school, and swimming is still one of my passions. I love music, I listen to it all the time. I love heavy rock but I listen to about everything. My infant life was spent falling asleep to Def Leppard. I have considered making music, and I'm hoping to see where that will take me in the future. I'm very creative, I like to do and make things with my hands. HUGE lover of LEGOs. I'm open to try new things, even if I'm a little hesitant at first. Very picky eater, I like to stick to carbs or I'll blend fruits into smoothies. Peanut butter and cheese = staple food for life. Star Wars is awesome. Last thing, major fan of superheros. I like DC and Marvel the same. Batman and Iron Man are the best.

Why I am a Mormon

To be completely honest, I was born into the church. It's pretty much been a routine my entire life. However, in the preparations I've made to serve a mission, I have seen how happy the gospel makes you. It strengthens you, it gives you power. The power to make the right decisions, to see your full potential. The power to help others, to serve, to heal one another. The power to live and to have a family that lasts forever. I think being happy forever sounds like a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. I believe in God, The Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, the keystone of our religion, and another testament of Jesus Christ, in companionship with the Bible. I believe in the happiness and joy that the gospel can bring you, and I'm so excited to be able to share that with others who do not know what it is as I serve a mission.

How I live my faith

I've done my best to fulfill callings in my youth, being in quorum presidencies and such. I've done my best to set examples to the young men who look up to me because I'm older. Especially to my brother, who is only a couple years younger, I hope I have, and will continue to be a good example as I prepare and serve a full-time mission.
