Hi I'm Sister Cecilia Balanzategui

I'm a daughter, I love traveling and my friends, I love my life in Utah, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a student at BYU-Idaho studying family consumer science and returned missionary at the California San Jose Mission. For free time I like to hang out with my high school friends and relaxing. I have been living in Utah for 15 years since 2001 and it is very different from my home country but Utah is like my second home. I love to travel and knowing the background in each state or country, I'm a great example to others in my ward, and I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a mormon ever since I was born but a long time ago, my mom's family were Catholics and my grandfather was not interested in the LDS church or the missionaries. After my grandmother got a divorce, she asked the missionaries to come over to her home to teach a lesson to them and ever since they have been converted to the church. I know that Heavenly Father loves his children no matter what just like my mom loves me and my older brother.

How I live my faith

I believe that Jesus is the Christ and Heavenly Father loves his children including myself through all the trials that I had been through in my life from parents divorce, moving to the states, and remarriage. The times of trials, I always go to Heavenly Father for comfort and love to erase all of the sadness and sorrows. I know that I have been protected from difficult trials and surgeries that I had for the past few years in my teenage years and feeling the love from family and friends because Heavenly Father sends them for me.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Our purpose is to be filled with happiness and even though we have difficult trials, we learn from these trials and become stronger and wiser. Show more Show less
