Hi I'm Colby

I'm a SCUBA diver, I play the Cello, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my free time I like to play tennis, play cello, and SCUBA dive. Both my parents work at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am the second of four children, the youngest of us is eleven. Other hobbies of mine include reading, watching movies, sleeping, driving (for some reason it calms me down and gets my mind off things), video games with my brothers and, of course, doing things with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but when I was young, I just followed blindly. I didn't know why I was going to church, I just knew that I was supposed to. It wasn't until I was about fourteen that I truly wanted to know for myself whether I was just following without reason, or if there was more reason for what I was doing. I decided to pray for my own knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel and I found it. It was then that I truly chose to serve a mission to share this wonderful truth that I hadn't even realized I had, even after having it taught to me for as long as I can remember. I believe no matter when we receive the word, we all have to be converted in our own time, in our own way, and I get to help people find their way, when it's their time to receive it.

How I live my faith

I have attended Sunday, and weekly youth meetings and activities. I have participated in service projects, and also do service for my neighbors whenever asked. It has also been my privilege as a youth member to be able to provide sacrament to members not able to make it to church on Sunday. I am currently serving a 2 year mission in California, helping people understand what we believe.
