Hi I'm Jonny Bigelow

I´´m 19, I´´m a shredder, a missionary and I´´m a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and am on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am serving in Washington DC speaking Spanish. Before my mission I went to Brigham Yound University in Provo Utah. I will be entering the Business program when I return from my mission and focus on Entrepeneurship. I am In the presidency of the Ski Club at BYU which has become the largest Student organization on campus and skiing is my life. That is the thing I miss most but I am excited to share the Gospel with the people of DC!

Why I am a Mormon

I´m a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, my Heavenly Father and the power of repentance. I see so many bad circumstances in the world and see ways the Gospel can change them. I have as many doubts and questions about the church as anyone else, maybe more, but I hold on to the good I have seen and felt and step forward with faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actions. I am on a mission sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of DC to help them find the happiness I feel. The next two years will be full of meeting new people and showing them the restored Gospel.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Jonny Bigelow
The Book of Mormon was written by prophets called of God in ancient times. One of these prophets was Lehi, who lived in Jerusalem around 600 B.C. He was commanded by God to take his family and move to the American continent before Jerusalem was to be destroyed. The rest of the Book of Mormon is the history of his descendants and teachings of the prophets of those people who lived in the Americas. All these prophets knew Heavenly Father's plan for us and the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is another evidence of Jesus Christ and shows that he really did live. The Book of Mormon also shows that Jesus Christ came to the americas to teach and share his Gospel with people other than those who lived in Jerusalem. The Book of Mormon is similar to the Bible but is a different book. They both testify of the Atonement of Christ as well as his love. The work together to give us the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, neither is complete without the other. The Book of Mormon contains a promise for us to learn of it's truth. If we truly desire to know: we can read and pray sincerely with intentions to act on our answers we recieve from the Holy Ghost that it is true. (Moroni 10:4). Show more Show less
