Hi I'm Aubrey

I'm an Arizona girl. I love sports, sunshine, and Mexican food! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona. I'm currently living in Utah where I'm going to college at Brigham Young University and studying history teaching. I have four brothers and sisters, a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law and an adorable little nephew! Let's just say Aunt Aubrey is his favorite aunt. I enjoy playing sports (especially soccer and volleyball), cooking, shopping, hanging out with friends, playing the piano, satisfying my sweet tooth, and running.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a member the Lord's church makes me happy. It's that simple! Because I am a Mormon, I have been able to develop my own testimony of Jesus Christ, His Atonement, and the love He will always have for me. This testimony has brought so much comfort and peace to my life. I am a Mormon because I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost answer my prayers. I am a Mormon because I know that it is led by a prophet of God. Knowing that I am a member of Jesus Christ's restored church here on the earth today and that I can one day live with Him and God the Father again is the most reassuring knowledge that I could ask for.

How I live my faith

My faith has a positive effect on every aspect of my life! I currently have the calling of a Sunday School teacher in my ward here in Utah. This calling allows me to teach my friends and fellow ward members about the amazing stories and doctrines that can be found in the scriptures. I have loved serving as a Sunday School teacher! Learning from the scriptures and spreading this knowledge to others has been so satisfying because I know I am bringing people closer to Christ and the blessings His gospel provides. Aside from church callings, the main way I live my faith is by trying to be a disciple of Christ in my daily living. As I try to follow Christ's example and to keep his commandment in my own life, I have been blessed immensely with happiness and the reassurance that my Heavenly Father loves me.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Everything around me tells me there is a God! Just looking outside at the majestic mountains, the blue sky, and the enormous ocean helps me see that there must be some Supreme Being who created all of this beauty for us. Studying the human body has the same effect. Seeing all the complicated and intricate systems of our bodies leads me to know that they do not and cannot function just by coincidence. The hand of God is in everything. Nothing is by chance. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes, we love the Bible! The Bible is full of so many historical accounts, doctrine, testimonies, and prophesies that lead to a powerful witness of Jesus Christ as our Savior. Reading the Bible can lead to wonderful peace and guidance in our lives. Yes, we do believe in another book of scripture in addition to the Bible, called the Book of Mormon. We do not believe, however, that the Book of Mormon replaces the Bible in any way. The Book of Mormon and the Bible go hand in hand and by doing so create an even more complete means to gaining a testimony of our Savior and our loving Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
