Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a Mormon, Dance teacher, Registered Nurse and Real Estate Agent!

About Me

I am a mother of 3 girls and have been married for 13 years this May. I spend my days at home with my little one that isn't old enough for school yet and my nights as a part time on call RN for a Home Care and Hospice agency. I have always loved to dance and did so all growing up and continued as a Song Leader for 4 years during college and my first 2 years of marriage. I now am a dance teacher of 6-8 year olds for a couple of hours a week. I also am a Real Estate Agent part time and I help family and friends sell and find homes. In all of my spare time I try to be the very best mother and wife that I can and make my home a place where I, as well as my family can feel safe coming home to.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home and that is all I have ever known. I know for at least a few years as a young child I leaned on my parent's testimonies and believed because that was what I was taught. It didn't take long before I listened to a lesson of my own in primary that I began to try and see if I knew that Heavenly Father was really there and loved me too. I remember many instances as a young girl faithfully asking Heavenly father for help rather it be through a preisthood blessing to relieve a horrible stomach ache I had, find something I had lost, ask for help to get my father's diesel truck unstuck in a muddy field so we could go home, or healing my baby pet bobcat through my father's priestood power from a brain injury that was sure to take her life. Each of these times the Lord answered my prayers and my dilemma was solved and I was filled with a feeling I cannot explain with words. I knew for myself that my Father in Heaven was aware of me and cared about even my small little girl problems and he wanted me to know how much he loved me. I often reflect on those answers that came and many more have come as I have grown to adulthood. There is no way I could ever deny what I have felt and the love I feel for my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. For this reason I am a Mormon and hope to share my testimony with anyone who will listen. I want the entire world to know that they too can receive answers to their problems and questions and know for a surety that Heavenly Father knows and loves them too. I have always loved the feeling I get when I hear primary or other church hymns and can always feel the presence of my savior when I listen to them. I know the Lord blesses us through music and allows us to feel of his spirit. I know my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ live and they want more that anything for us to return and live with them again someday. I am willing to do all that I need to do to be worthy to live in their presence for Eternity.

How I live my faith

I go to church every week to feel the spirit of my Lord and Savior to help give me strength to continue throughout the next week doing the best that I know how. My attendance at church has taught me the importance of feeling the spirit and allowing it to find a place in my soul that can last longer than just on Sundays. I am a substitute teacher for the young children and I love listening and watching their testimonies grow as they realize what they are feeling each week when they come to church. I go to the temple at least monthly to also gain a stronger testimony, do service and learn more about my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I try to listen to my favorite gospel music as often as possible to give me strength during the week to have patience with my children and strength to accomplish the many activities placed before me the best that I can. I have found without the Lord's help, I am helpless! I cannot do much of anything without his help! I am so grateful to know that I can get on my knees or say a small prayer in my head at any hour of the day and receive strength and guidance to endure to the end!

What is being a Mormon like?

Lindsey
It is wonderful!! I love the peace that I feel every day when I am doing my best to do as I am taught at church, in the temple and from our living Prophet and Apostles. Our world today is filled with so much confusion and wickedness that can leave us feeling scared and helpless. When I do as I have been instructed and have faith in the Lord I am not afraid and I feel excited about the future and even death. I love that we have the Priesthood Power on this earth to assist us with mortal pain and anguish. The Lord is just waiting for us to ask, so he can fill us with his love and answer our prayers as he sees it fit. I know that he knows what is best for us and that whatever the answer may be, it is the way it is suppose to be and someday, if not now, we will understand it. I can't wait to see my Father in Heaven again and thank him for all of the help he has given me throughout mortality. I could not live my life each day without this knowledge and help.
