Hi I'm Adan

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I`m Mexican. I love Smiling, I have a thing for glasses and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently turned 19 years old and have been called to serve in the Canada, Montreal mission speaking Spanish and French. I will be a representative of Jesus Christ for 2 years. I love playing soccer, volleyball and basketball. As soon as I graduated high school I enrolled into college and am currently a freshmen. I love playing the ukulele I started playing about a year ago and it is a really soothing and happy instrument. I recently worked in retail where I got to speak to hundreds of people that come from outside the US and share things that they treasure from their home land. It's great to see the comparison of living in the US and living somewhere else around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the church, I went to primary, young mens, and scouts. Everything was well but having been raised in the church most of my testimony depended on my parents. I began to think to myself when I was about 16 years old if this really was true. Sometimes I thought that all this was too good to be true, but sure enough I did what I was supposed to do and I knelt down in prayer and asked my Father in Heaven if this was really where he wanted me, If this was the true church. A couple weeks passed and nothing happened I still didn't know, I wanted the answer right then and there. After many weeks of sincere prayer I had this overwhelming sensation that was unexplainable. I knew that everything I had studied my whole life was true. I love this gospel, I know that because of God and our elder brother Jesus Christ we are able to return to live with him as we did before this life. I also know that because Jesus suffered in the garden of Gethsemane he made it easier for us to repent for our sins. God loves each and everyone of us and he knows what we are all going through. Although we may feel alone at times of trial just remember that it is not then that he leaves us but during those times of trail that he carries us, comforts us and shows us his love. I know this church is true, I know, I love it, I live it.

How I live my faith

My parents found the church before I was born, so I got the chance to grow up in it. Right before I left for college I was a ward missionary in which I went out with the missionaries quite often. I love going with the missionaries and finding people that want to know, sincerely, what church has the full truth. Not only are we helping them with their worldly perspective but we are also giving them something much more which is an eternal perspective something that can never end. I often look for opportunities to serve people around me whether it is just giving a smile to someone that really needs it or having a genuine conversation with them to show them we truly do care for them as Jesus and our Heavenly Father do.
