Hi I'm Marcia

I am a Mormon, a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

About Me

I am a second generation immigrant to be born in this Country. My grandparents came from Germany and the Scandinavian countries. I am grateful to them for being willing to name this country as their own and adopt the melting pot culture. I love to go on line and read the literature of the church as it reads it to me. I enjoy reading from the best books. I also enjoy making for my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as I enjoy the crafts of sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and baking. I love retirement which gives me the time to do the above.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by goodly parents who took me to church every Sunday and encouraged me to be in the Choir and Youth Organizations. I found out that Jesus was my Savior at Bible camp during a campfire gathering. "How great How Art" became my favorite hymn at that time. During that church's confirmation classes, I discovered that the church did not preach what I believed. When I went to college, I worked with some Mormons who asked me questions and invited me to learn more. When I was given the lesson about God's plan, I knew that this was the church for me. Although I received opposition from my family and friends, I have never regretted my decision to be baptized. I was unable to bring any of my family to the gospel in this life, however, I have been able to do so with my family history.

How I live my faith

I am retired now with health problems so I am not as active in church callings as I used to be. I am a visiting teacher and visiting teacher supervisor. Over the years I have served in all the organizations as a teacher and in the presidencies. I love to serve others whenever they let me.
