Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in California. I am serving a mission in Lyon, France in June 2013. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I had two semesters of college at BYU-Idaho. I studied Electrical Engineering while there. I played the violin for 8 years and played in my high school orchestra. I also enjoy sports such as basketball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. I am the oldest of eight kids and have a twin sister. I am currently serving an LDS mission in Lyon, France. I am an Eagle scout rank for the Boy Scouts of America.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the LDS church and have come to love the joy and blessings that come from being a member. I have felt God's spirit in my life and have felt a peace whenever I have considered the truth of the church. I have felt so much mercy in my life as I have come to realize Christ's death and suffering, and its importance in my life. I know that the best way to feel that love is through this the LDS church which has the full power of God and has the full truth.

How I live my faith

I try to live in a way that shows a good example to those around me. I try to stay positive in all situations of life and try to help those around me. I was a leader up in my college ward and organized my group of young adults in meetings on Monday nights. I encouraged those in my group to participate in other activities and got those who seemed lonely to join in. I have really come to learn that service is the best way to change who you are and it is one way to really feel happy.
