Hi I'm Patti

I'm a Wife and a Mother. I was born in Utah, grew up in California, moved back to Utah and now I live in Scotland. I am Mormon.

About Me

I was a single Mom to a Beautiful Daughter for 18 years after my first husband left. Now I have a Wonderful Husband and he and my Daughter are the best part of my life. I love music and the arts, and do a little painting myself. I also enjoy doing cross stitch and used to make pottery and porcelain dolls. In fact crafts of all kinds have kept me busy over the years. Sitting in my garden watching the little birds at the bird feeders, and the 13 pheasants who have adopted our garden has become one of my favourite past times. I'm an avid animal lover and currently have just 2 cats and 2 gold fish, but growing up I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, budgies (parakeets) snakes, a crow and a monkey as well. I became 'less' abled a few years ago and was medically retired from my work so I live a more quiet life now, but I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My Great-Great Grandparents were baptised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in the mid to late1800's. They left their home lands and travelled with other newly baptised members across the Atlantic Ocean, and then across the plains of America, until they finally settled in Utah. That is why I am Mormon, but the reason I stay Mormon is because I know in my heart that this is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, restored back upon the earth in these latter days. I know He wants what is best for me personally, and, He has shown those who follow His instruction, through scripture and a Living Prophet, how we can return to live with Him. I know that one day I will be reunited with all those loved ones who have gone before me, and that my family can be together for all eternity. Living the Gospel brings me peace as well as knowledge. I love my Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the church and have had the opportunity to serve in several callings. Some of my callings include working in the Presidencies over the women 18 and older, the young women, aged 12 to 18, and the youth aged 5-11. I've been a chorister of many choirs over the years and have also sung in many choirs. I've also served as a Visiting Teacher, visiting every month with some of the Women, to make sure they are well and help to take care of any needs they may have. I love being able to serve my Heavenly Father in this way.
