Hi I'm Daniel Donaldson

A crazy redhead on a mission... serving the people of Scotland and Ireland. I'm a Mormon, so I am!

About Me

I was born and raised in Provo Utah. I am 6'3" and have flaming hair. I have done a year of schooling at BYU Provo, and am majoring in Biology (which could easily change).. I am not quiet sure what I want to do with a career, but I will figure it out! Physiology especially excites me because I love learning about the body, and how efficient it is. I have many hobbies, some of which include: water sports/activities (especially scuba diving, rafting), volleyball, traveling, watching movies and listening to music, trying new things out, etc. I love to be spontaneous because it spices up life. My motto in life is "Enjoy the ride, because it won't last long!" On my mission I have served in Belfast, Sligo Ireland, Perth and Falkirk Scotland. I try to love everyday of it. :D

Why I am a Mormon

Unlike most religions of the world, who challenge you to know something... the Gospel of Jesus Christ that is found within the mormon church challenges us to take a step further, and actually become something! We are going to have to try to be like him, to understand even a tiny bit more about him. The wonderful thing about the Book of Mormon is that it isn't just informing you on how to have a better life, and understand who God is... it is also showing you how you can physically, mentally, and spiritually understand. I live by the promise that is given in the Book, if anyone sincerely prays about it (and has that desire to act on the answer they get), study it out in their minds, and then pray to ask God if it is true- they will receive an answer! Most of the joy of being a Mormon doesn't come from claiming to be a Mormon, but actually living it! No one will understand that until you actually test it out and try to live the principle taught within my church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing it all the time. To me the gospel is based on application... it is alot like any activity. People can tell you all you need to know about it (you can even do some research on it), but you wont know anything (let alone get better at it) until you try it out. The Gospel offers unlimited happiness (for this life and the next) to those who apply it to their life here. To me it can't be as simple as just "believing", because people can dream and think about bettering their circumstances all day but not take one step towards actually doing it. I believe the same is with my faith. I can believe all I want, but if I do not apply the belief then why would I need it? Plus when you start living the way you know you should be, then you will be alot happier of a person. Living my life the way I want to is more important then living my life the way society (or a specific person) tells me. Right now I am in the wonderful land of Scotland and Ireland, finding people who are searching for true happiness. From trying to help those around me, both me and them have learned priceless lessons. The gospel isn't easy to live, but it is worth it!
