Hi I'm Cole Gunderson

I'm an engineer, a traveler, a life long learner, a disciple. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and life is so good. I have a job in the power generation industry, and my dream is to change the way the world consumes energy. My best friends are my family. I love spending time with all of my siblings, and my parents. We have such a great time together. I'm definitely a people person. There aren't many things that are more fun to me than reconnecting with an old friend. I love it. I have been blessed to be surrounded by the most amazing people. My real passion in life is learning, about anything and everything. I love to hear what other people do, because it all fascinates me. I love to read and expand my view of how the world works. I love to travel as well, because travelling is the best form of learning. I love to experience the culture of other places and see what makes other people tick. I love to experience the landscape and the climate of other parts of the World. The more I travel and see the more I want to continue to see. I also love sports! Any sport. I love competition and I love to push my body. Basketball is my favorite, but any will do. One day I plan to start my own business in the Power industry.

Why I am a Mormon

I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that God lives and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints is His kingdom on the earth. I have had countless experiences substantiating its truthfulness. I've witnessed undeniable miracles, tangible evidence of the reality of these things. Those experiences have come as fruits of living by faith, and never by sheer coincidence or out of the blue. God absolutely answers prayers, but He expects us to do our best, trust Him, and be patient. My knowledge of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon have been a spring board for my faith and my ability to trust in God. Joseph's life, mission and example, along with the Book of Mormon are powerful evidence of God's work on the earth. Having knowledge of these things has given me the ability to show faith and trust in tough times which have resulted in divine manifestations and miracles. The spirit has witnessed to my heart the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith's calling as a prophet. I am filled with fire because of that witness, which fuels me to walk by faith and draw closer and closer to a living God.

How I live my faith

The gospel is everything to me. My entire life is built on the doctrines and principles found within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint. My most important title is a disciple of Jesus Christ. The gospel effects every decision I make, from my career aspirations, to what time I go to bed at night; my hope is that everything I do can be linked back to my conviction that Jesus is the Christ and Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet in these latter days. Continual study of the scriptures, regular temple attendance, and dedicated service within the church are three ways that I live my faith. I do what I can to serve my brothers and sisters around me, as I believe the Lord would have me help everyone I can. Learning in general is another way I live my faith, as I believe the Lord wants us to grow and develop as much as possible while on this earth. We are here to multiply our talents and I believe the Lord will help us do just that. I have gained so much by living the gospel. I could never give back as much as I've received. Any success that I may obtain in life will be a result of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
