Hi I'm Elliott Davey

Born and raised in Kent, South East England, I have 3 brothers and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Elder Davey (Elliott Miles Davey). I'm 19 years old and I live in South East London. I left School at 16 with 8 GCSEs and have worked since then full time in my Dad's carpet business. I love to play football and I also like to spend time with friends and family. Then a year ago I decided to serve a mission. I submitted my papers and now I've been called to the Australia Sydney North Mission. Im currenlty in the Provo Missionary Training Center (MTC). I leave in few days to Australia where I will be serving the Lord for the next 2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always attended church throughout my life but two years ago I started to read the Book Of Mormon every day. During that time I began to learn more about God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost than I ever had before. My faith grew a lot but not only that, all my friends at church noticed how much I had changed, my confidence and happiness increased a lot. So this is why I have chosen to be a missionary for The Church Of Jesus Of Christ Latter Day Saints because I know that God Loves Me. I want to share what I have learned with others and want to thank God for showing His love, kindness and attention to me.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week at my local chapel. The people are really friendly and they feel like part of my family. We get together during the week for scripture study and play sports as well (volleyball, football or basketball). On Sundays I sometimes teach the youth and try to help the young men with any problems that they may have. I live my faith by being honest, working hard and thinking positively about myself and others. One of the biggest thing I've learned from going to Church is that God loves, cares and knows me better than I do myself.
