Hi I'm Chris

I'm from Vernal, Utah. I love to work and be in outdoors. I love being with my family. I am a missionary and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have lived in Utah all of my life. I love being in the mountains. I love to go hiking, fishing, hunting, and just being in the outdoors. I love to play football and wrestling, especially with my brothers, and my dad. I have worked many jobs so that I could save up and go on a mission to help others come to a knowledge of God, and how He will help them in their lives. I am grateful to serve my fellow men. Right now I am in the Canada Winnipeg Mission. It is the coldest, toughest, hardest, and the best! I have moved around all over the place on my mission from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to International Falls, Minnesota.I have met many people, and I have seen a lot of good from other people, and have seen many amazing things! And I have also seen a lot of hardships and bad things that people have done. But through it all I can say that I have tried to be the best that I can be. I have tried to be a good missionary, and a good person. I love being out here serving the Lord. I am a son of God. I know that He lives. One day after this life I will return to live with Him. This is the gospel that is the only way. And it is as the Savior Jesus Christ said to the Samaritan woman at the well, " Whosoever drinketh of the water that I give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life!" We will be filled to overflowing with God's love, and His love and strength will be with us, wherever we go.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true because of what I have learned from the gospel first hand. I know that Jesus died for me, so that I can get back to my Heavenly Father. I know because I have chosen for myself what is right, and what is wrong. I know that I can be a good person, and become the best I can be through Jesus Christ. A big part of why I am a Mormon is because of the great things it has done for me and my family. It has made us better, and has brought a lot of blessings. We have a unity with each other that will never be broken, and I know that it is because of this church and this gospel that we have learned. I have learned mostly by example from all of the people around me. Those that are exercising faith, repentance and keeping His commandments. Those basics of the gospel have changed me for the better. I know that I can change and become clean through Jesus Christ. I know that. I know that He listens to our every prayer, and that He will answer them. I know that He will comfort us when we need it. The biggest reason why I am a Mormon is the love that I feel from Him always. Especially when I am at church and I am trying to do my best. I can feel His love the most as I am living this gospel. I have learned a lot on my mission, but the biggest is that I know that this church has the truth. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a mission. My schedule is devoted 100% to serving the Lord for 2 years. With my knowledge that Jesus Christ has died for me, and that through Him I can become clean from my sins and also be able to return to live with God again, I try to do the best that I can to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and whenever I sin I know that I can repent and change my ways so that I will never do them again. I try my best to have faith in Jesus Christ, repent when I need to, and keep His commandments. There is no other way that we can return to live with God again. I try to be kind and loving to everyone, and do unto others as He has done unto me. He has given me everything, so therefore I try to give everything as well, whether it is my time, might, mind and strength. I try to serve others, and be the best that I can be. I am a firm believer that there is good, better, and best choices, and so I try to remember that when I am deciding on what I need to do.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement is a gift from the Savior Jesus Christ and God the Father. It is from Jesus Christ's acts of bleeding from every pore in His body to His Crucifixion, and from Him being raised from the dead to become a glorified, perfect, Being. He has felt all of the pain and anguish and everything that we have felt. He understands us perfectly through the Atonement. It is because of the Atonement that we can repent of our sins, and become clean from them so that we can return to live with God. It is a changing power that will cleanse us, as we are doing our best to change our ways. No unclean thing can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. So, everything, all of the whole gospel revolves around the Atonement. The good news that we can return to live with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ because there is a way to become clean from our sins. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

This question is an easy one to answer, and it first starts off with prayer. In James chapter 1 vs 5 it says if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask God, who will give to all men liberally (freely), and upbraideth not (He will not judge you for who you are), and it shall be given to you. You have to ask God. Also in the Book of Mormon it says in Moroni 10:3-5. If you ask with a sincere desire, with real intent, having Faith in Christ, He will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. Another name of the Holy Ghost is the Spirit. And His number job is to testify of truth. In Galatians chapter 5:22-23 it tells us what the fruit of the Spirit is. What the Spirit tells us in our minds and in our hearts what is truth. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. If you pray and ask God, He will answer you. If you have felt any of these as you have been learning, and if you have felt that comfort that comes from the Spirit testifying of truth, then you should know. God works in mysterious ways. You will have that unmistakable witness from God that this is the only way that you can take to return to live with God again. You have the right to know the truth from Him. It starts with asking God in faith, thinking about it, wanting to know the truth, and then asking God. Show more Show less
