Hi I'm Cody Curtis Averett

I live in the United States. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 kids. I just turned 18 and I have my mission call to Posadas Argentina. My mission also includes the southern half of Paraguay. After my mission i plan to come back and attend college and get my degree in medical science. I love to snowmobile and play all kinds of sports competitively. I am big into football. My high school team just won 2 state championships in a row, my junior and senior year. I am also an eagle scout. I hopefully some day plan to be some kind of care giver in the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church which means both my parents were Mormon at the time i was born. Feeling the spirit is a special feeling or warmth inside (it's different for everyone) that you receive when you here or realize something that is true. I feel the spirit every time I learn more about Joseph Smith and how he restored this great and everlasting gospel. I gain my testimony through reading the Book of Mormon. All i feel the whole time i read is the spirit. I know that Thomas S. Monson is or living Prophet, that he leads us and guides us through these latter days, to prepare for the second coming of our savior and redeemer, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

In my church, I have been a youth leader since I was 12. I have been called to conduct, plan and carry out several different meetings. Being an eagle scout also has been a great experience and accomplishment for me in my life. I find great joy in serving my community and visiting older people also and bringing them company. I will be a missionary which means I am going to a different country and teaching my faith to other people bringing them back to the lords presence.
