Hi I'm Kolton D. Atwood

I'm excited for the future, I'm excited for my mission, I'm excited for eternity. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am grateful. I don't know how to ever thank Heavenly Father for all that He has blessed e with and for the awesome journey that has brought me to where I am now. I grew up in a semi-active family that fell away from the church for many parts of my young life. I was baptized when I was 8, but didn't get active again until I was twelve, when the Lord had mercy on me to bless me with a close family that helped me come to Christ enough to be ordained a Deacon and attend the temple once. I fell away for years after that, following a lot of struggles in my family, including divorce and contention. After my father and I moved from Arizona to Utah, I was able to meet some friends at my high school who gave me the jump start to begin my hard but rewarding journey unto Christ. It was not easy being the only active one in my household, but I gained such a testimomny of the Gospel just from living it. I knew that the Gospel was true, even though I hardly knew the doctrine that it contained. I gained a strong enough testiony taht I was recommended for Missionary Service to Argentina to serve my God and learn who Christ really is. That is when the Lord was able to teach me and help me to catch up my knowledge of the Gospel wth my faith. Now that Ive been home for a while, I love serving others and I know my purpose as a child of God and as one of His ordained elders in His church. I know what I need to do in order to gain salvation and be truly happy forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church but my family never really was to active. I have had a lot of time to explore other options and they never really felt right. This church is true and I know that because of all of the trials I have experienced. Through those trials, I have found my way back to the correct path back to my Heavenly Father and I am so thankful that I have made it to that path. I believe in this gospel and all of its teachings. I also believe that the book of Mormon is true and that it was put on this Earth and translated by Joseph Smith to bring people unto God and to his Son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently attend church by myself because my family is not active. It is a real testimony builder to go to church on my own faith and willingness in the gospel. I am a priest and bless the sacrament just about every Sunday. I also recently served as the secretary for my group of priests. I also home teach two families that are helping me to practice preaching the word of God for my mission which I am very thankful for.
