Hi I'm Trevor

I love soccer, the outdoors, and laughing, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying accounting in Logan, Utah. I’m married and enjoy every minute of it! I'm a very competitive person and love playing sports; soccer is my favorite. I recently ran a marathon! Other than sports I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my wife and family. Make me laugh and you've made a friend; I love laughing and telling jokes. The cheesier, the better!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that this is the church that Jesus Christ Himself leads and directs through prophets and apostles. I have felt peace when I have asked to know if it is true. I know that this Gospel was restored in its fullness by the prophet Joseph Smith. He was inspired of God and saw Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. Not only that, but I have come to know through study that this isn't just a church or something that makes me feel good, it's Christ's church and it is eternal! The principles that are taught help us understand the trials of life and how to overcome them. They teach us that Jesus Christ is always with us and will help us overcome our weaknesses and sins. The doctrines and principles of this gospel are eternal and allow us to become like our Father in Heaven. I have seen the blessings of obedience. I have felt the peace and happiness that comes as I choose to follow the commandments that Jesus Christ reveals through ancient and modern prophets. I am a Mormon because families can be forever as we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I am a Mormon because I know that even when I am at my lowest, with Christ and His Gospel I can overcome it and be at my highest. I am a Mormon because I am a child of God and know my potential.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by happily going with what life throws at me. It can be easy to get discouraged, and sometimes we will feel that way, but I always remember that because of Jesus Christ and His Atonement, there is hope. Things will always get better. We might not understand why something happens to us or other people, but the Savior does. With that knowledge we can look to the future with hope and positivity. As I rely on His teachings I feel peace in my heart and it brings joy into my life. I’m able to see people as God sees them; I see their potential and look past their mistakes. I realize that the trials in life make me stronger and I am able to see my potential and overcome my mistakes. Christ can heal all wounds. I know that. My faith isn't just a belief, it's who I am! I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings direction and happiness to my life. I live it, because I have seen how it has positively changed me, my family, and my friends.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The way to find out for your self if these things are true is to pray. Read the Book of Mormon then pray to your Heavenly Father with faith and humility. Pray with real intent and listen for the Spirit to testify to you of the truthfulness of the Gospel. Show more Show less
