Hi I'm William "Bill" Cadieux

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a husband, dad and soccer referee. I manage hospital design & construction. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I'm not managing the design, construction or furnishing of a new hospital or hospital project, I spend time with my wife watching movies. I balance my time on Saturdays between working around our home together with my wife and the soccer field. Sundays are for family, church and church service. I'm very interested in the way things go together and was fortunate to land my first job in a hospital and have been involved in the construction and renovation of hospital buildings ever since. I guess it goes along with my upbringing. My grandfather was a repair mechanic in a automotive production facility. He taught me how to work on things and do things for myself. I'm also a Referee and love to be on the pitch with the players. Its great to be with other volunteers that enjoy the sport as I do. I never played organized soccer (Futbol) and got involved when my wife said, "We can do that" in response to a coach's request for volunteers at our sons first team meeting. When I'm not working on something at home, or providing service through church, you'll find me on a soccer field. It was fun to go to my son's and daughter's matches and then do a game of my own. It provided me the opportunity to share the sport with my children.

Why I am a Mormon

Like some others who join The Church when younger, I learned of The Church through a girl I knew in the 5th grade and then dated when in high school. I had been away from organized religion and Sunday services for about five years and was wondering about spiritual things quite a bit when I first dated this young lady. It wasn't until she went to college that her mom suggested to the missionaries that I might be interested in learning more about The Church. The lessons I received went fast. From the time the missionaries first came to my door to my baptism was two weeks. Everything fit into place.

How I live my faith

Through membership in The Church, I have had the opportunity to serve others in many different capacities; as a youth leader, as a missionary, as a Sunday school teacher, monthly visits to families, helping to maintain our church buildings, and doing administrative work for our local members. Through it all I continue to see how the love of the Savior can motivate me and others to want to be more like the Savior in all we do. The life of Jesus Christ is the perfect example for me and the attributes I should be living day to day.

What do Mormons believe about family?

William "Bill" Cadieux
One of the greatest comforts I have as a convert and member of The Church is knowing that my family can be together forever. I know that because my family has been to the temple and experienced the sealing power referenced in Matthew we can be a family after this life. Even after the loss of a family member. It is through our faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and obedience to His commandments that makes this all possible. It also motivates me to be the best person I can. Show more Show less
