Hi I'm Cameron Palmer

I am a Mormon and a Son of my Heavenly Father

About Me

Music has always been a huge part of me. Growing up I would always sing with my family as we worked and now I sing to try and bring happiness. As a missionary I have been able to use music as a way to lift those who are feeling sad.

Why I am a Mormon

Why Not? It Makes sense to me. Plus it feels right. I spent a lot of time reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it to know if it is true. Now I know that it is true and that this Church is true as well. I am not the smartest kid in the world but I trust in my feelings and I know that my Heavenly Father won't lead me wrong. I know that I can live with my family for eternity and that Jesus Christ has established his church and that the authority of god is here again as well. God is building his Kingdom and I am part of it!

How I live my faith

I am serving as a missionary in the Kennewick Washington mission. I try to follow the example that Jesus has set for me by sharing the message of his restored gospel with all that I meet. I try to help those who need help and lift up the hearts of those who may be sad. This gospel is a message of Good News and I want to Show it. :)

What is being a Mormon like?

Cameron Palmer
It is what you make of it. Our Heavenly Father has set Guidelines for us to follow to have true happiness in this life. However we all still have our agency and it is our decision if we want to follow them or not. It may seem like mormons have a lot of rules but if once you realize that those so called "rules" are what are going to get you back to our Heavenly Father. The start to stop becoming rules and start becoming a lifestyle choice. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Cameron Palmer
We are Gods children. The big part about families is we believe that they are eternal. Which means you can live with your family for forever. However that is only under obediences to the laws of god. The family creates a way that we can learn these laws and learn from example. After all in a family there are many people who can be your example. So the church tries to make sure that all familes are centered in the gospel so that children can have good examples and be able to live with there families for forever in happiness. The Gospel changes lives and makes families stronger Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Cameron Palmer
"When Ye are in the service of your fellow man, ye are only in the service of your god." as disciples of Christ we have a responsibility to help anyone who may be in need of help. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Cameron Palmer
The church has a stance that Marriage is ordained of god between a man and women lawfully wedded as husband and wife. That is why Adam was the first man and Eve was the first women. I believe in free agency and I also know that god has set his commandments. God loves all of us and he will not discriminate. it is not the attraction to the same-sex that is seen as a sin in the eyes of god but acting on that attraction. The same goes that sexual relations should only be between a man and women in marriage. Satan is trying to destroy the family so that we will be miserable like him. If men go marrying men and women go marrying women then the powers of procreation become void and impossible. Satan knows this and he is using it as a tool to destroy the family. But god always supplies a way to rise above temptations no matter how difficult. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Cameron Palmer
Temples aren't secret they are sacred, Temples are as close to heaven as you can get on this earth, and because of this we must be worthy. In the temple we make special promises with our Heavenly Father. If we don't want to keep the promises of Baptism by keeping the Commandments, then we are not ready to make more promises. For this reason only worthy members may enter the temple. So why is it important? In the temple we can be sealed with our families so that we can be with them even after death. In the Temple we learn Gospel truths to help us in this life and the life to come. Show more Show less
