Hi I'm Chase

I was born in raised in Alberta, Canada. I work on a farm, I love sports and the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors; everything including hunting, fishing and hiking to boating, camping and sports. I love football, and played all throughout high school. I also love basketball and soccer, and played them for many years as well. I love to read and learn, and I'm especially interested in the sciences, especially biology. I hope to enter the medical field when I return from my mission. Speaking of my mission, I was recently called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've been called to serve in the Adelaide, Australia mission and I'm extremely excited to do so! I have friends serving all over the world including Canada, Japan and England and I'm excited to join the mission force and share my knowledge and beliefs with the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe everything the gospel promotes. I have a strong testimony of the power of the atonement, the ability that we have to repent and be clean through the atoning sacrifice of our elder brother, Jesus Christ. I believe in the plan of salvation, and that if we live the teachings of the gospel we can live with our families forever. I believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and that he did indeed see the father and the son in the Sacred Grove that spring day. I believe that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that the teachings and lessons in it are directly applicable to our lives today. I believe that our prophet, Thomas S. Monson has been called of God, as were all the prophets who served before him, as well as all those who will serve after him. I love this gospel and everything in it. My testimony gives me hope and I want others to be able to feel that same hope, and feel the saviors love for them as it can truly change your life for the better.

How I live my faith

In my church we have certain people designated to visit the members every month and make sure that they're doing well. The people are called home teachers, and I am called as one. I love my home teaching families, they all have young kids who are so bright and easy to get along with, and visiting with them each month is always entertaining. Its a great way to build friendships with those in your ward and also creates a great network for support if the families are ever in need. Each time we home teach we make sure to ask, "Is there anything you need from your home teachers?" Whether it be physical or emotional we're always there, willing to lend a helping hand.
