Hi I'm Marissa Lynn

I love stickers, Disney movies, and popcorn. I'm also a full time missionary in the Nevada Reno Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah. I have 2 wonderful parents who have lead and guided me to the person that I am today. I am the oldest of 4 kids. I have a younger sister and 2 younger brothers and I am privileged to call them some of my very best friends. I love anything with the outdoors! I enjoy camping, hiking, biking and going on an adventure! I love daydreaming, reading, watching Disney movies and eating popcorn! I am currently a missionary in the Nevada Reno mission. I have enjoyed every moment being out here and I love serving my Heavenly Father with all my heart, might, mind, and strength. I know that as I work hard each day, despite any trials that I may be going through, Heavenly Father blesses each of us!

Why I am a Mormon

My family have been members of the church since before I was born. As I got older, my parents have always told me to gain a testimony of my own and to know for myself that the church was true. I remember going to church and girls camp, I always felt peace when I was with church leaders but I couldn't say for myself if I knew that the church was true. When I was in High School, I decided to read the Book of Mormon all the way through. Each day, I would read and take notes of my impressions that I had. Right as school was getting out, I finished the Book of Mormon. I went to girls camp, my last one that year. The leaders gave us some time to out in the woods and pray. I took my notebook and walked to the edge of the river. I remember sitting down and opening the notebook and began flipping through the pages. I then prayed to Heavenly Father asking him to give me confirmation of what I have read was true. An overwhelming peace and comfort came over me as He gave me that confirmation. I will never forget that experience when a 17 year old girl knew without a doubt that the church was true. Today, I still believe with my whole heart that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my everyday life by example. I have younger siblings and cousins that look up to my actions. The quiet example can be the greatest example. I always tend to look at the quiet examples of others and try to follow in their footsteps. I never know who is watching me and copying my actions. Actions are always spoken louder than any words. And now being a missionary, so many people look up to me. You never know who is watching you or your example. I have had so many experience to where people have told me that they have watched my quiet example and it makes me want to be a better person each day. :)
