Hi I'm Jaclyn

I grew up in Utah. I am preparing to serve the Lord for 18 months in the amazing country of Peru. I love this gospel.

About Me

I love meeting new people. People interest me and I love to hear there stories. I have lots of close friends and I am love spending time with them. I am passionate about music. I have played the piano and the violin ever since I was young. I am also very adventurous. I love hiking and sports. I played softball and basketball at my high school here in Provo, Utah. After that I attended Utah Valley University for a semester and I look forward to continuing work towards my nursing license when I return home from my mission. I will be leaving on August 14th to report to the Lima Peru MTC, and six weeks later report to the Huancayo, Peru mission, speaking Spanish. I have a large family (my parents, 6 older sisters, 2 little brothers, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews), but look forward to bringing them blessing through my service.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, with parents who read to me about Nephi, and Samuel the Lamanite as I went to sleep. However, I still feel like I have a conversion story of my own. Mine may have been a gradual process, but I made the same decision to read the scriptures and pray, and decided to forsake my sins to be baptized just like any other convert. This gospel has the ability to change people. It has the ability to help us all become who we want to be through the everlasting atonement of Christ. It has taught me how to love, and feel charity towards others. It has given peace in my home. It has kept me close to my family and given me a way to spend eternity with them. I know that he broke the bonds of death to free us all. Above all, I know that Christ loved and atoned for us so that we would have the opportunity to become something greater then what we could ever imagine. This gospel gives peace, light and purpose even in the darkest times of trial. I love his plan and his gospel, and I do my best to live it with his help.

How I live my faith

I will be leaving on August 14th to report to the Lima Peru MTC, and six weeks later report to the Huancayo, Peru mission, speaking Spanish. I have a large family (my parents, 6 older sisters, 2 little brothers, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews), and I will miss them indescribably as I serve. However, I hope that by spreading this message I can bring happiness to many other families. My family enjoys the blessings of a Priesthood leader in the home, love in our home, and eventual eternal life together due to the amazing sealing powers of the temple. I can only hope to spread the happiness that my family enjoys to others who do not have the same truths in their lives as I do. I love the gospel and I am passionate about sharing it with others. Not only to enrich their lives, but enrich my own life with more love.
