Hi I'm Dakota Haws

Born into the LDS church and a wonderful, loving family, I have seen many blessings flow in my life by following Christ's example.

About Me

I have been raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life (Huge blessing!). I have an amazing stake and we always have the best time at youth conference! I'm a soon to be graduate in high school within the small town of Maroa, Illinois. I study online seminary everyday (During the school year). I plan on serving as a missionary for the church very soon. I'm a huge fan of music and love reading popular books. I do my best to help those in need as I live out my time on this earth. And finally, I have a goal to read the Book of Mormon everyday before my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

With all the changing things happening in the world right now, it's important that we find an 'outlet' or source of comfort to bring ourselves closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This church is that outlet! It has blessed my life as well as countless others. If it wasn't for the Gospel, or the word of God, I would be lost and I would never know true happiness. This faith has lead me to the person that I am today and I thank Heavenly Father for all that he does for me and my ward. And for the rest of my life I will do my best to serve Him and my fellow man so that we will walk forward with faith and with no doubts or regrets.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live out my life like the Savior, Jesus Christ, and to show His love towards everyone in this life. However, being man just like everybody else, I will slip and fall and lose my way. But I always seek the path back into His arms. I pull all of my spiritual knowledge from the scriptures and I do my best to apply it into my life and seek to better myself in many different areas. It is through these scriptures that we will find the answers to all the questions and worries of our day. They are great to have in my life and I see them as a blessing from Heavenly Father. I often try to share my findings with others (whether through social media or at school) so that they might feel the same happiness that I feel when I read these things for myself.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Since everybody is considered a child of God, it is important to know that we are all important to Him and that He constantly worries about our physical or spiritual needs. We seek to do as Christ himself would do if He were back on this earth today, and that is to help all people in their situations. Show more Show less
