Hi I'm Jedd Morley

I grew up in Utah, I am serving in the Uganda Kampala mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As far as my hobbies go, I just really enjoy being active. I played football, basketball, and ran track in high school. I now have the opportunity to run track at the collegiate level; however, I really enjoy volleyball, racquetball, and much more. I attend college with an undecided major at the moment. I am really interested in theology, psychology, aviation, anatomy, architecture, and sports medicine. Now you can see why I am undecided in my major. I enjoy spending my time with friends, family, and especially my nieces and nephews. I grew up working construction since I was about 8 years old. Now, 11 years later, I am still working construction and I really enjoy it. I am called to serve in the Uganda Kampala Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I grew up a Mormon. All my extended and immediate family members are active in the church, and for the most part, always have been. Their examples have helped me continue to follow His gospel. That led me to the waters of Baptism at the age of eight years old. Since then, I have continued to learn and my testimony to grow. I have made many mistakes but because the fulness of His gospel has been restored to the earth through Joseph Smith, I have the knowledge of the gift of the Atonement and I can be forgiven of my mistakes. God loves all of his children, we are all His children! He wants us to return to Him and live in His presence. Christ lives! He suffered for our sorrows, sins, and pain. He knows each of us personally and has felt everything we have felt. He wants us to do what is right because it is the only true happiness. We all have a divine eternal potential to return to live with our Father in Heaven. We can be with our families forever! We know this through the things written in the Old and New Testaments and in the Book of Mormon. We have a living prophet today! Thomas S. Monson is the mouthpiece for the Lord. I read the scriptures because it makes me happy. I go to church because it makes me happy. I am not perfect but I do my best to do what is right because it makes me happy. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others the best I can. I home teach families, teach youth on Sundays in sunday school, and help with activities planned for the community by my ward or stake. I spend time at Family Home Evenings with my family and also with the Young Single Adult Ward. The Young Single Adult Ward also has date nights, sports nights, service opportunities and activities throughout the year.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jedd Morley
Yes, Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God. "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly, we also believe The Book of Mormon to be the word of God." (Article of Faith 1:8) Show more Show less
