Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a mom with three boys. I'm a latter day saint. I grew up in Texas but spent most of my adult life in Utah.

About Me

I'm a mom with three boys. I home-school them, and enjoy every moment I have to teach them and raise them the way Christ would have me. I heard of a story of a group of women in Rome comparing their jewels. They turn to one woman and asked, "Where are your jewels?" The woman pointed to her two sons and said, "These are my jewels." My three boys are four of the greatest treasures I have. My husband is the other one.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a latter day saint because it makes me happy. I had a time period in my life when I had a void in my heart. Nothing could fill it. Then I had an experience that taught me there was a God and he loves me. When I first walked into an lds chapel, I felt the joy and love my life was missing. I found home.

How I live my faith

As a family, we start our day with family prayer and scripture study. Then I do mine and my three boys. This is how we invite the Spirit into our lives and have harmony in our home. I'm dedicated to helping my sons become great priesthood leaders, which is developed by daily scripture study and prayer.

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Kathy
My mother was counseled by doctors to abort me. She prayed about it and felt it was okay to have the baby. I am very grateful my mother did not take my life lightly or assume I was just an embryo and not a life. Because of her choice to have me, I have been able live a good happy life. I've had my share of trials, but I'm healthy with all my limbs and with good common sense. I've received a bachelors in English, and am working towards being a writer with what time I have available.
