Hi I'm Riley

I'm a redheaded reading runner with goals and dreams like anyone else, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite color is, and always has been, yellow, and I love daffodils. I love learning new things and about places I've never been, and enjoying every opportunity that comes my way. Life is beautiful!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family of members in the church that goes back generations, and I never thought the gospel was not true. That is not to say that I followed without knowing for myself, I believed what others said as a child, and as I grew older I asked the Lord in prayer if it was true. The first time I read the Book of Mormon all the way through by myself in the first years of high school, and the subsequent times, I could feel it was true when I read--even without praying and asking. There is such a feeling of peace associated with the gospel, when I am doing the right things, I feel it so strongly. That is how I know the gospel is true, that is why I have chosen to be a member of the Church. I have had many blessings come into my life as a result of my membership in the Church, and I would not trade it for anything. The principles of the gospel have helped me through all the hard times in my life (and I know they will continue to do so as I encounter more trials), and blessed my family and friends as well. I don't think I have the words to say what the gospel and my membership in the Church and testimony of the restored gospel mean to me. There is nothing that compares, nothing I have done or read or seen or heard has ever brought the same peace or joy as the gospel and its inspired, eternally true teachings.

How I live my faith

As I go through each day, I read my scriptures and pray and search for the things that the Lord wants me to do. I love living the gospel and seeing it bless my life and the lives of others! I served a full-time mission for 18 months in the Arkansas, Little Rock Mission--it was the best! It helped me see how the gospel blesses each person every day, and the experiences I had inspire me to live the gospel more fully each day.
