Hi I'm McKenzie Morris

I grew up in rainy Washington. I'm a college student learning to live away from home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated high school a few years ago and decided to go straight to college. Living away from home was tricky at first but I've started to get the hang of life at school. I've been searching for the major that i would love the most and landed in International Studies. I enjoy learning about other cultures and languages. I want to travel. My vice are art and running. I will draw and paint just abut anything in my free time.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church with both my parents being members already. My testimony strengthened first in the prophet Joseph Smith when i was telling another person the story and felt the spirit so strongly i could not deny it was true. Later in highschool when my parents began to let me decide for myself to attend church i realized that I wanted the happiness it brought, my testimony in other things grew more. It was a gradual process that came with persistence. I went through a time when i made mistakes and had to really humble myself and use the atonement in my life to receive forgiveness. The unhappiness i felt before I had repented was cleared away by the love and light i felt afterward. It was amazing. I feel such great peace and light in my life because of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I feel the Savior's love for me. I know that prayer is a real way to communicate with our Heavenly Father, he loves us and wants us to live with him again one day.

How I live my faith

I've helped in my church by organizing women to help connect each other in a personal way. By encouraging friendship in our ward i feel a greater peace and it brings a greater feeling of love and unity. Volunteering to clean and serve others in the community, whether it be through yard work or charity organizations, it is a great way to lift others and my own spirit. I now serve as a full time Missionary for my church in Belgium and the Netherlands. I want to share the happiness this gospel gives me with others.

Who was Joseph Smith?

McKenzie Morris
This man is inspirational. The people then knew him as " Brother Joseph" because he was a friend to many and felt love for everyone. He translated the Book of Mormon from the gold plates to English so that we could have that divine scripture to help us in our day. He put everything into reorganizing the true church of Jesus Christ. He was tared and feathered, mobbed, persecuted. He knew it was true, God knew it, and he could not deny it. He died protecting what he knew to be true. This great man was a man of God. Show more Show less
