Hi I'm Michael

I was born in Panama. I love animals, music, chemistry and anime. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love animals. When I grow up I would like to have a zoo and have all kinds of animals! Chemistry is my favorite subject. I participated in an international competition of chemistry representing my country. I didn't win a medal, but I did win something for the rest of my life, I learned that life is not always full of happiness, that we have to be prepared and accept things like they are instead of expecting them to be like we want. I like music; I play the piano, flute, and I will like to learn how to play the violin. I'm grateful to my Lord and I love Him. Currently I'm serving a mission in the great California Ventura Mission and so far it has been great. A ton of uplifting experiences, miracles, and lots of fun! I love the people I serve. The Lord always calls us to prepare, He does not prepare to call us. I am here to serve others, to think about their needs and to forget myself and go to work. Whatever the trials, the problems, the delays, the opposition, the Lord will always go before our faces and will help us in whatsoever thing He puts in our paths. I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is the only Church that is authorized by God Himself. Even though I was born in this Church, I had already proved its truthfulness. Every time I pray to my Lord I receive His answer: this is the truth, be still... He has given me so many blessings, I'm grateful to Him. I have read the Book of Mormon and I feel in my heart that it is true, that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son, and that he translated the gold plates by God's Power.

How I live my faith

The Lord has blessed me a lot, and now I'm trying to help others receive the same blessings. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Great California Ventura Mission. It has been such a huge privilege to me to help others come unto Christ, and help them receive the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. So far I have changed a lot of things in my life, but most importantly I have helped others make changes in their own lives. I love being a missionary and I love being a Mormon!

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Michael
Our Heavenly Father loves us, even if we are dead. He wants us to be happy, to have all the same eternal opportunities. Sometimes it comes to our mind: what happens to people that die without being baptized, without even knowing about the gospel of Jesus Christ? There is when we, as the only Church authorized by God, received this revelation from God: In order to fulfill the law that states that all people must have equal opportunities in what spiritual matters respect because of God's mercy, there must be a way for that people that didn't receive Jesus' gospel and were not baptized. This way is to perform proxy baptisms in behalf of them, by Church members in a pure and holy place, a temple of God. Show more Show less
