Hi I'm Peter

I am a retired mechanical design engineer. I joined this church 18 years ago. I am a keen cyclist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my lovely wife Freda. I have 2 daughters from my first marriage and Freda a daughter and a son from her first marriage. Between us we have 8 grandchildren. I am a retired mechanical design engineer. I spent most of my working life designing cars. My hobbies included cycle racing, which I have enjoyed for the last 35 years. My main activity in the cycling world was time trialing. The distance I covered was anything between 10 miles and 24 hours. I also enjoy home decorating and DIY jobs around the house.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I believe this from the first vision that Joseph Smith experienced where he saw Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father as separate individuals and the guidance that they gave him through revelation as to how to set up the church in the identical format as was practiced in Christ's time on earth.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I study all the books of scripture that we use, which include the 'Old and New Testament', the 'Book of Mormon', and the 'Doctrine and Covenants'. I attend church regularly on the Sabbath Day. My calling in the church is that of a ward missionary, which means that I help to teach the gospel to new people who are investigating the church.
