Hi I'm Bryce

I'm a husband, father of four, an IT Director. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in Indiana in the United States. I'm the fifth of six children and blessed to have two terrific parents. I married my high school sweetheart. She has been the best and most important decision of my life. Now I'm a father with four beautiful children. We love being with them, enjoy playing games at home, having fun outdoors, or watching a movie on the couch. Professionally, I'm an IT director for a pharmaceutical company. My job has led to wonderful experiences including living outside the United States. We lived in Japan for four years which we loved. The people were wonderful and the culture amazing. Now we currently live in the UK. We are now enjoying the opportunity to see this part of the world. Besides spending time with the family, I've always been involved in sports and especially basketball. I'll play just about anything if there is a ball involved. I also enjoy playing the piano, exploring new cities and places during our travels, and spending time with a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

First, living the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ has always made me happy and helped me grow closer to God. It has provided the foundation for all that has been good in my life and given me a greater perspective in making decisions in life. As I've tried to follow Him, not only have I felt blessed but I've felt stronger confirmation in my heart that He actually exists, that He is aware of me, and most importantly that He loves us. Also, I grew up learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ and attended church with my parents. But as any person must do, one must find out for himself or herself if the teachings are true. I wanted to know for myself that the church was really true. I decided to read the scriptures and in particular the Book of Mormon when I was a teenager. It took some time, asking God in prayer, and patience because I didn’t understand every word I read, but I had a strong feeling when I read that it was God's scriptures. Since then and the many experiences since, it has been confirmed true in my heart. I now know that the Book of Mormon really is the word of God, as well as the Bible. As I've applied the teachings in my life, I've grown closer to my family, been a better husband, and most of all understood that I'm a child of God who is involved in our individual lives.

How I live my faith

Living my faith to me simply means putting forth a constant effort to be the best I can be. For myself, this is best shown by following the example of Jesus in how I act, speak, think, no matter what circumstance or place I may find myself. Regularly praying to God and studying the scriptures often gives me the strength and courage to keep moving forward every day trying to be better. At home, this means being a good husband and father. I strive to be loving and kind with my family, helping them in the home, reading to them, playing their favorite games, and just listening to what they have to say. In the church, I've served in many positions but most recently I work with the missionaries helping teach those who are interested to know more about the church. This has led to wonderful opportunities to share our beliefs. Living my faith during my professional life is important, too. I try to be an example of honesty and showing integrity in all that I do. Additionally, I have many opportunities to travel around the world and meet those of other faiths. I'm always grateful for the opportunity to associate, learn from so many good people, and share my beliefs.
