Hi I'm Jonathan

I am from Blanding, I work on a phesant farm, love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student studying Mechanical Engineering. I love to travel and have studied abroad on two trips one to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala, and another to Israel, Egypt, and Jordan. I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, repelling, motorcycle riding, camping, and I enjoy making things including doing a bit of metal forging. I love learning and enjoy learning anything that has to do with science, new technology, or any type of survival like wilderness survival or emergency preparedness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the many experiences I have had where God has told me that the Church of Jesus Christ is His true church. The way that God has told me that, has mostly been the times that I have felt the presence of the Holy Ghost. I have been to the Holy Land where our Savior sacrificed Himself to save the world, I have been to the Sea of Galilee where He appeared again after coming back from the dead, I have been to the Sacred Grove where God once again brought the truth to the prophet Joseph Smith, and I have been to Carthage where Joseph was murdered, but nothing has been a stronger witness to me than the feeling that I could never create myself (trust me I have tried) that came to me at times I least expected it, but times God knew I needed it, to tell me that it is all true. My personal experience of reading the Book of Mormon and praying alone with God has been some of my most treasured experiences.

How I live my faith

I am an active member in the area that I live. I am currently assigned as what is called a ward missionary leader. Basically I help get other members excited about telling others about our beliefs. I am also a home teacher where I go visit an assigned family to make sure they are doing good and to share a message from the church. I love to read the Bible and Book of Mormon, I pray regularly, and I enjoy the privilege I have to go to the temple regularly as well.
