Hi I'm Grant Montoya

I play soccer, I love life, and I am currently serving a mission in Romania.

About Me

I grew up throughout the entire US, moving often. Now I am a student at a college on the east coast. I have been playing soccer my whole life and now play for the college I attend. I love the outdoors, and music. I'm preparing to serve a mission in eastern Europe.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of the church when I was born so I was raised Mormon. Growing up I had to decide for myself if I wanted to stick with it or not, I was not always sure, but as I got older I could recognize the difference between having the gospel in my life to not having it. It was clear that having and living the gospel was the right path because it brought joy and meaning into my life. Through experiences and answers to my prayers I found, for myself, that it is true. In all these cases though I have had to act, waiting around for answers was not enough. The Book of Mormon has been a constant source for comfort and has helped me understand the gospel more fully. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and it can bring comfort into the lives of any who read it like it has for me.

How I live my faith

The college that I go to is oriented around the LDS faith and so I am surrounded by people with the same values and beliefs as me who help me live how I should. I am currently serving a mission in Romania, so everyday I have the opportunity to talk with others about my beliefs and to be an example in action. First and foremost I try to live my faith through actions; by being a good example, and loving others.
