Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a Heath Science Major. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being with my family and friends especially when fishing and backpacking in the various areas in Idaho. I am the youngest of my siblings and I have many nieces and nephews. It is great to watch them all grow. I study Health Science and I am a senior preparing for an occupation in the medical field. I love college life, learning, and the many supportive friends I have found. I also enjoy music and play the trumpet, baritone, piano, and organ. Singing in community choirs is another hobby of mine. I am one of those nerds who love adventurous books like Harry Potter and Peter Pan every once in a while and I am a fan of hosting tasteful movie nights.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to be a active member of the Mormon church because I know my Savior and have recognized the Church of Jesus Christ to be His gospel. He has provided a way that we can receive personal revelation and I have used this in my life to learn the truth and the direction that He wants me to go in my life. I love that this is a living gospel and that the Lord still reveals truth through prophets that He has called. They speak the words of God! I know that the gospel of Christ has been restored by the prophet Joseph Smith and that he did see the Father and the Son. He translated the Book of Mormon from its ancient text and the words and writings in this book are true and powerful! They can be applied to our lives today and bring us strength as we face trials. I love the Holy Ghost, the third member of the Godhead, that can dwell constantly with us after we a baptized. I receive comfort, direction, and knowledge through the gift of the Holy Ghost. Families can be together forever! This is done through ordinances and covenants made in holy temple the Lord has build across the world. There is a plan for us. We were with Him before we were born and when we are obedient, repent of our mistakes and continue to follow the Saviors footsteps we can return to Him and be with our families for eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the source of lasting happiness. It has brought me hope and happiness as I use the atonement of Christ to repent and cleanse me of sin. All I want to do is make my Savior happy. His sacrifice means the world to me! We are all sons and daughters of Heavenly Father and He loves us. I love the people of this world who are my brothers and sisters and desire that they also find that lasting happiness that can only be found through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I participate in the church through music callings and visiting and serving other members. I have had the opportunity to serve the children in the church and see their sweet innocence as they learn about their Savior and His love for them. As a college student in a singles ward I have had the opportunity to share many experiences in a home evening group every Monday. Participating with other in the same age group has allowed us to strengthen each other through similar experiences and challenges that a younger generation is faced with. I love to teach and learn from others in the community and find opportunities to find common ground with people who are also making the world a better place. I have the wonderful blessing of serving a full-time Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day-Saints for 18 months in Ukraine. I am looking forward to serving many people and inviting them to come to know their Savior and with all my heart!
